What You'll Do

  • The applicant selected for the St.
  • Louis Office will serve as a Victim Witness Coordinator performing duties such as: Provides authoritative technical advice and guidance to other victim and witness assistance staff, USAO managers, Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) and legal support staff.
  • Orients and trains new and/or developmental victim and witness assistance staff.
  • Provides information and assistance to victims that include crisis intervention resources, assistance in securing medical treatment for injuries, information on legal rights and resources available, emergency housing options, employment services and transportation assistance.
  • Independently develops and maintains relationships with a network of Federal, state and local law enforcement personnel, investigative agency victim specialists and social service organizations to increase resources and services that more comprehensively serve crime victims.
  • Conducts victim assistance workshops, seminars, presentations and meetings with law enforcement personnel, Federal investigative agency victim specialists, state and local officials and members of community organizations.
  • Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

Requirements

  • All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S.
  • Department of Education.
