About the Role
This position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs, Buffalo Regional Office (VARO), Education Division. The Quality/Training Specialist is an integral part of the Education Quality Assurance Program and is a key technical advisor to the Veterans Claims Examiners (VCEs) and Senior Veterans Claims Examiners (SVCEs), in the Regional Office.
What You'll Do
- →Specifically, the Veteran Claims Examiner (Training & Quality Specialist) will: Perform quality reviews and develops local operation procedures for the team to supplement regulations and directives as needed.
- →Create national quality reports and gives regional office staff the authority to request and obtain them.
- →Manage annual training requirements are met by individuals and results are tracked and reported properly.
- →Develop methods for mentoring members of the team on the technical aspects of the job in a manner which addresses individual learning needs and effectively offers feedback to identify and correct deficient areas.
- →Perform in-depth research, analyzes operating contingencies and special situations.
- →Ensure all program requirements imposed by the Education Division and the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims are met or implemented.
- →Serve as a technical advisor to management and team leaders.
- →Work Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Compressed/Flexible: Available Virtual: This is not a virtual position.

- ✓Department of Education to be credited towards qualifications.
- ✓Provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education.All education claimed by applicants will be verified upon appointment.
- ✓If you are using foreign education to meet qualification requirements, you must send a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency with your transcript to receive credit.
