About the Role
You will serve as an UPHOLSTERER in the FACILITY & INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT of FLTREADCEN EAST.
What You'll Do
- →You will make bumper pads, wrapping felt around aircraft parts and covering it with art leather, plastic, and/or cloth, stitching by hand or sewing with power machine.
- →You will use the sewing machine and other shop equipment to manufacture and/or repair a variety of items in small as well as large quantities, such as control booth covers and all-around aircraft dust covers, web type hoisting slings, etc.
- →You will Installs service changes, modification, and Local Engineering Specifications (L.E.S.’s) in aircraft, and helicopter soundproofing.
- →You will measure, cut, sew, and glue panels to fit sections of aircraft interiors.
- →You will occasionally upholster seats, large and small items of office furniture.
- →You will create patterns/templates that will be used by themselves or others to mass produce quantities of product.
