What You'll Do
- →You will monitor, verify, and coordinate information that ensures the timely loading/off-loading of cargo, mail, and passengers.
- →You will serve as an Information Controller and/or Ramp Coordinator within the Air Terminal Operations Center (ATOC), a 24-hour per day, 7 day per week, 365 days per year operation.
- →You will receive and disseminate information from inside and outside the unit.
- →You will deliver and receive cargo and passenger manifest data from aircraft and brief aircrews regarding characteristics of cargo and number of passengers.
- →You will serve as the eyes and ears of the Air Terminal Operations Center (ATOC) on the aircraft and aircraft parking ramp.
- →You will monitor all ground handling operations and inform the Air Terminal Operations Center (ATOC) and work centers regarding the status of operations.
- →You will create aircraft ground handling records for every aircraft arrival and departure.
- →You will enter, compile, and maintain cargo and passenger movement data in electronic databases.
- →You will anticipate, confirm, and arrange all ground handling services to include parking, towing, pushback, power, fuel, etc.
- →You will create shift logs to record information concerning operational problem areas such as aircraft delays, safety issues, cargo loading/off-loading problems, and passenger/aircrew complaints.
- →You will provide professional customer service using all available modes of communication and will ensure a continuous flow of information and technical data.
- →You will contact representatives from other base functions, departments, agencies, and government contractors to coordinate airlift support requirements.
- →You will coordinate airfield traffic activities.
- →You will brief aircrews regarding cargo load characteristics, special category cargo, and other information.
Requirements
- ✓1 full year of graduate level education OR Superior academic achievement
