About the Role

You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the Provost Marshall Office/Marine Corps Police Department of MARINE CORPS RECRUIT DEPOT.

What You'll Do

  • You will conduct lectures, discussions, guided conferences and demonstration methods to present law enforcement, investigative techniques, procedures and practical application sessions.
  • You will assist with organizing, scheduling and coordinating training courses that maximize individual competencies or maintain performance levels.
  • You will develop Performance Objectives and Standards to aide in identifying training needs and requirements of each student; ensure the knowledge and skills are developed in current concepts and techniques in Law Enforcement and Security.
  • You will provide classroom studies and instructions on use of law enforcement equipment and application of techniques.
  • You will coordinate, develop and maintain effective relationship with the training community of various Federal, state and local law enforcement, intelligence and security agencies.
  • Provide instruction in First Aid/CPR/AED, Emergency Vehicle Operation, Active Shooter and other law enforcement requirements; instruct in Firearms safety and conduct the Weapons Qualification; test for weapons proficiency.

Requirements

  • In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successful completion a master's or equivalent graduate degree in Education or a subject area related to the position to be filled.
  • OR Completion of two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree in Education or a subject area related to the position to be filled.

  • The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience must equal 100 percent.
