About the Role
About the Position: You will serve as the lead USSOUTHCOM planner for joint concept coordination across the combatant command and integration of joint concepts into USSOUTHCOM operations, activities, and investments (OAIs). This position is located within the USSOUTHCOM Exercises and Coalition Affairs Directorate, in the Training and Exercises Division.
What You'll Do
- →Lead command efforts in joint concept development, testing, and doctrinal updates, providing expert briefings to 3- and 4-star senior leaders.
- →Ensure inclusion of operational context and command alignment in the joint concept development process.
- →Provide authoritative policy and procedural guidance on emerging joint warfighting concepts and technologies to components and external agencies.
- →Coordinate with command and higher headquarters stakeholders on joint concept wargame support, working group participation, and formal staff actions.
- →Support command lessons learned, assessments, and doctrine development efforts.
