About the Role
As a Training Specialist, you will be responsible for the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of comprehensive training and adult education programs supporting Animal Care personnel and external stakeholders, including licensees, registrants, applicants, and the public.
What You'll Do
- →The duties described are for the full-performance level.
- →At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity.
- →The duties may include, but are not limited to: Collaborates with subject matter experts, Agency personnel, other Federal agencies, and program personnel to develop and enhance training programs.
- →Designs and implements innovative training approaches and solutions, including simulation, scenario-based learning, and multimedia tools, to improve learning outcomes.
- →Develops, tests, and promotes experimental or innovative training activities or approaches in areas where traditional approaches are not possible or have proven ineffective.
- →Develops curricula, lesson plans, instructor guides, e-learning modules, and blended learning solutions using a variety of delivery methods (instructor-led (classroom), virtual, and hybrid training).
- →Conducts need assessments and gap analyses to identify training requirements aligned with regulatory responsibilities and organizational priorities.
- →Prepares and presents program reports, metrics, and analyses to leadership on training outcomes, trends, and the effectiveness of AC’s training program to achieve program mission requirements.
