About the Position: The Incumbent will serve as the traffic management specialist in the Defense Transportation Tracking System (DTTS) emergency operations center.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as shift lead as the emergency operations center during emergency situations and makes key decisions on actions to take.
- →Research shipment statuses, recognize deviations in normal shipment procedures or activity, and initiate appropriate emergency response notification.
- →Gather carrier performance data and populates carrier performance metrics tools maintained by the Defense Transportation Tracking System (DTTS).
- →Conduct studies to determine Command capabilities under various emergency situations.
- →Provide training to new personnel on the Defense Transportation Tracking System (DTTS).
- →Communicate with State and Local authorities, and commercial carriers.
