About the Role
This position is in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's Office of Trademark Services, reporting to the Deputy Commissioner for Trademark Operations or designee. The position oversees organizational units and contract-supported functions responsible for trademark application processing, examination support, post-registration activities, public services, treaty-related processing, and operational planning to ensure production, quality, and service goals are met.

- →The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia.
- →Presence at the Alexandria, VA campus is required for this role, as it includes on site functions that must be performed in person.
- →Position may be eligible for situational telework in accordance with agency policy/business unit discretion.
- →The agency currently allows for 52 hours of telework per calendar year.
- →Major Duties for this position include: This position serves as the Trademark Services Program Manager.

- →You have experience leading staff, and contractor-supported work by setting priorities, overseeing workflow, resolving operational issues, and ensuring effective day-to-day operations.
- →You have the ability to oversee trademark-related processing and service activities across functional areas such as pre-examination, intent-to-use, post-registration, Madrid processing, and related records or public service functions.
- →You're responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and effectiveness of work products, systems, and public-facing information used to support program operations and mission requirements.
- →You have experience analyzing program performance and recommending or implementing improvements in policies, procedures, systems, service delivery, productivity, and quality.
- →You're responsible for representing the organization with internal and external stakeholders and providing guidance on operational, procedural, contractor, and program-related matters.
