About the Role
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a TITLE 5 PRIMARY PREVENTION SPECIALIST (PREV WF) (MI J9), Position Description Number NGT0028P01 and NGT0029P01 and is part of the MI JFHQ Army, National Guard.
What You'll Do
- →***THIS IS A TITLE 5 EXCEPTED NATIONAL GUARD POSITION*** This position is located at the ANG Wing with/or without geographically separated units (GSU)/ ARNG Region located in a State that is divided into multiple regions (within the State) not servicing one specific BDE.
- →This position serves as the implementer of the Integrated Primary Prevention (IPP) Program.
- →Due to the specialty nature of these roles this position reports to the Joint Force Headquarter Primary Prevention Officer.
- →The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Primary Prevention Specialist in a developmental capacity, performing assignments designed to further develop applicable analytical and evaluative skills and techniques.
- →This is a developmental position leading to the full performance position description T0028000.
- →All training must be completed, and regulatory requirements met prior to non-competitive promotion.
- →GS 9 Performs developmental assignments of moderately difficult and complex nature consisting of well-precedented tasks designed to orient the employee in the application of harm and abuse prevention programs and activities.
- →Assignments are combined with training to develop analytical skills and techniques used to resolve issues or problems of a procedural or factual nature.
- →Performs recurring assignments.
- →Independently performs work assignments which gradually increase in difficulty and complexity.
- →Carries out special projects and participates in special initiatives and studies.
- →Prepares written correspondence and other documentation.
- →Drafts or prepares a variety of documents to include newsletter items, responses to routine inquiries, reports, letters, and other related documents.
- →GS11 Serves as the point of contact for harm and abuse prevention programs and activities; provides program coordination and serves as the subject matter expert for the Wing/Region IPP program.
