About the Role

Joining the Secret Service, Office of Technical Operations, Operational Communications and Integration Division, will allow you to provide a technically secure environment for the President and Vice President, as well as other prominent individuals. What You'll Do

  • The selectee will serve as a Telecommunications Specialist in the Office of Technical Operations, Operational Communications and Integration Division.
  • Typical work assignments include: Developing and engineering advanced radio communication systems customized to meet the unique operational requirements.
  • Configuring, deploying, operating and maintaining Radio Frequency (RF) communication systems to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Serving as a technical expert during system failures and outages by troubleshooting communication systems, identifying root causes, and implementing timely and effective solutions.
  • Diagnosing technical issues, replacing malfunctioning components, and conducting comprehensive testing to ensure full restoration of system functionality.
  • Leading the integration of communication and video infrastructure to create a unified system that ensures both components operate cohesively.

Requirements

  • Citizenship is required.
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.

  • Submit to a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph examination prior to your appointment.
  • This position requires the employee to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • The incumbent is required to complete annual ethics and procurement integrity training.
  • This position requires frequent travel aboard commercial and/or military aircraft.
  • As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period during which we will evaluate your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.
