What You'll Do
- →You will install, repair, modify and maintain telephone lines, cables and related equipment.
- →You will operate test equipment (e.g., telephone test sets, dial speed indicators, computer diagnostic equipment, optical time domain reflector meters) to analyze and restore faulty voice and non-voice circuits.
- →You will inspect telecommunications equipment to determine source of trouble (e.g., worn or bare wires, loose connections, broken components).
- →You will troubleshoot telephone equipment and wiring to verify functionality and correct working order.
- →You will use terminal equipment (e.g., digital telephone, synchronous and asynchronous data modules, modems, protocol converts, interface equipment to data networks) for designing, installing, testing, and maintaining digital circuitry.
