About the Role

Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities.

What You'll Do

  • Serves as a Technical Writer-Editor in the National Institute of Corrections.
  • Uses knowledge and expertise to compose, develop, and/ or finalize written products (e.g., speeches, Congressional testimony, publications, manuals, and documents) that articulate and explain complex, sensitive, and sometimes controversial agency policies, programs, and operations.
  • Reviews and finalizes written products for clarity, presentation, style, grammar, appropriateness for audience, accuracy and consistency with NIC policy, programs, and operations.
