What You'll Do

  • The following are the duties of this position at the full working level.
  • If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position.
  • The incumbent serves as an expert analyst responsible for developing and/or interpreting guidance on program planning, execution, and evaluation for the compliance, accounts management and/or taxpayer education and communication functions.
  • The employee plans, analyzes, determines cost/benefit relationships, and coordinates a variety of functions, operations, and teams.
  • Independently studies problems facing operating unit functions or those of particular concern within the organization assigned.
  • This may require coordinating input from activities outside the division and identifying new methods of performing work.
  • This requires the incumbent to demonstrate analytical, technical, and process analysis skills.
  • Analyzes assigned program areas to discern trends in program delivery.
  • Consolidates report data to measure the effectiveness in meeting baselines or the degree to which program plans and achievements support strategic initiatives.
  • Provides technical advice and staff assistance to executives, field managers, and employees in the assigned program area.
  • Develops and prepares operating guidelines, instructions, and other material pertaining to assigned program areas.

Requirements

  • Probationary Period - A person who is required to go through a probationary period and then is transferred, promoted, demoted, or reassigned before he or she completes such period is required to complete the remainder of the probationary period in the new position.
