About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located within the Intelligence & Security Directorate, J2. What You'll Do
- →Serve as a Communications Intelligence (COMINT) Specialist focusing on interagency collection requirements to support regional and in-country counter-narcoterrorism operations.
- →Develop and coordinate COMINT activity in support of the JIATFS mission and national counter-narcotics related objectives.
- →Provide intelligence support to the intelligence community, intelligence watch, and analytical cells both orally and in writing.
- →Remain up-to-date on current knowledge of criminal geography, operator characteristics and target communications procedures.
- →Maintain liaison with personnel assigned to other intelligence organizations and agencies.
- →Maintain a basic knowledge of radio wave propagation and radio frequency utilization.
