This a National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service Position. This a Permanent WG-5801-11 SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1195000 and is part of the MO Combined Support Maintenance Shop.
What You'll Do
- →Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and major repair on heavy-duty mobile equipment, combat, tactical, and automotive vehicles.
- →Troubleshoots, repairs and/or overhauls, as a regular and recurring duty, a variety of the mechanically complex major systems.
- →Troubleshoots equipment with a variety of mechanically complex major systems and diagnoses difficult performance problems and the cause of mechanical failures by means of visual and auditory checks; and using test equipment.
- →Removes and disassembles engines and complex major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and fuel, hydraulic, and oil pressure systems.
- →Independently performs repairs and maintenance functions with little or no supervision in remote locations.
- →Conducts readiness and repair inspections on vehicles and associated equipment supported by the activity.
- →Performs electrical repairs on complex state of the art electrical and electronic systems.
- →Performs other duties as assigned.
