This National Guard position is for a SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR (Temp Promo)-T32, Position Description Number D1291000 and is part of the WI MATES, Wisconsin Army National Guard. *This is also advertised as Job Announcement Number 26-259A (Indefinite) **At management's discretion, this Temporary Promotion may be made permanent without further competition in accordance with 5CFR 335.103(c)(1)(i)
What You'll Do
- →As a SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR (Temp Promo)-T32, WS-5801-11, you will supervise workers directly or through subordinate leaders and/or supervisors in accomplishing work of the function.
- →Plans work operations of great scope, complexity, and administrative authority.
- →Determines the sequence, priority, and time for performance of operations within the limits of broad work schedules and time limits.
- →DUTIES: Plans use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials on a week-to week or month-to-month basis.
- →Assigns tasks to be performed based on readiness and explains work requirements, methods, and procedures.
- →Plans and establishes overall leave schedules.
- →Performs non-supervisory work, such as, transporting equipment, performing maintenance tasks, etc.
- →Develops, publishes, and ensures employee compliance with standing operating procedures for the activity supervised.
- →Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises. ***This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. ***
Requirements
- ✓MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement.
- ✓This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard.
- ✓Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership.

- ✓Military Grades: E-1 through E-9 and WO1 through CW3 Conditions of Employment: Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
- ✓This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.
- ✓An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
