You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER (FACILITIES MAINTENANCE) in the Maintenance Control Branch of MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII.
What You'll Do
- →You will be the principal advisor to the Facilities Maintenance Officer, Facilities Deputy Director, and Facilities Director on facility maintenance and repair and facility services.
- →You will provide information and recommendations for the facilities portion of inter and intra service support agreements.
- →You will prepare maintenance, alterations, equipment installation, and Repair work packages which define work scopes to include cost estimates, engineering designs, contract plans and specifications.
- →You will responsible for the inspection of the condition of all real property facilities, and preparation of backlog of maintenance and repair report.
- →You will supervise the Facilities Maintenance Control Branch and its four different sections.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must posses: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
