This National Guard position is for a SUPV IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/ NETWORK), Position Description Number D2329000 and is part of the OH 179 Cyberspace Wing, Ohio Air National Guard. The purpose of this position is to serve as the unit's full-time Squadron Operations Officer, providing supervision of all operational training, events, exercises, assessments and projects performed while in Title 32 status, and overseeing the management of all CPT and/or ICS defense mission equipment.
What You'll Do
- →As a SUPV IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/ NETWORK), GS-2210-13, you will perform the following duties: 1.
- →Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- →Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
- →Selects or recommends selection of candidates for vacancies, promotions, details, and reassignments in consideration of skills and qualifications, mission requirements, and EEO objectives.
- →Develops, modifies, and/or interprets performance standards.
- →Explains performance expectations to employees and provides regular feedback on strengths and weaknesses.
- →Holds employees responsible for satisfactory completion of work assignments.
- →Appraises subordinate workers performance ensuring consistency and equity in rating techniques.
- →Recommends awards when appropriate and approves within-grade increases.
- →Hears and resolves employee complaints and refers serious unresolved complaints to higher level management.
- →Initiates action to correct performance or conduct problems.
- →Effects minor disciplinary measures such as warnings and reprimands and recommends action in more serious disciplinary matters.
- →Prepares documentation to support actions taken.
- →Identifies employee developmental needs and provides or arranges for training (formal and on-the-job) to maintain and improve job performance.
Requirements
- ✓Ohio Air National Guard Membership is required.
- ✓Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- ✓Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- ✓May be required to successfully complete a trial period.
- ✓Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- ✓MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required within one year of the effective date of placement.
- ✓This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard.
- ✓Applicants who are not currently a member of the Ohio Air National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership.

- ✓Military Grades: O-3 through O-4 Compatible Military Assignments: 17S, 16K, 15A, and 62E Other Requirements: 1.
- ✓The completion of a current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) according to AFI 31-501, Personnel Security Program Management, is mandatory.
- ✓NOTE: Award of the entry level without a completed SSBI is authorized provided an interim Top Secret clearance has been granted according to AFI 31-501. 2.
- ✓The incumbent must be certified IAW DOD 8570.01-M, Federal Information Security Management Act of 2002, Clinger Cohen Act of 1996 and obtain Special Experience Identifier (SEI) 264, Information Assurance - Technical Level II (IAT II), IAW current AF directives. 3.
- ✓The incumbent must have and maintain local network access IAW AFMANs 33-152, User Responsibilities and Guidance for Information Systems and 33-282, Computer Security. 4.
