This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Supervision/ Management Work Category at the Expert Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA OC/PACIFIC.
What You'll Do
- →Maintains and operates the Regional Network Operations and Security Center (RNOSC) supporting USINDOPACOM capabilities/services.
- →Directs network assurance capabilities in support of United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) directives and missions, ensuring continuous defense in depth of the DoDIN.
- →Secures, operates and defends the DoDIN supporting Combatant Commanders, Military Departments Operation Centers, DoD and non-DoD Agencies, Joint Staff, and Allies and Partners.
- →Provides conceptual and technical guidance and advice on complex technical and operational matters related to the Division’s functions and responsibilities.
- →Directs and oversees the activities of over 100 civilian, military, and contract personnel engaged in operational support for defensive cyber operations, communication networks, and information systems.
Requirements
- ✓There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-15 grade level.
