About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at Anniston Army Depot. If you are currently serving in a permanent, competitive service appointment in the Federal service, and are selected for this position, the appointment will remove you from the competitive service while you occupy this position.
What You'll Do
- →Directs and manages the legal office.
- →Confers and negotiates with top administrative personnel within the depot complex, private business, state and local governments, Department of Justice, et al.
- →Maintains liaison with the local bar and its associations to keep them informed of policies and procedures involved in depot complex legal functions.
- →Advises the Commander and key personnel and serviced tenant Commanders of local legal developments.
- →Advises Commander and management officials, and Commanders and management officials of serviced tenants on environmental and safety law, government procurement law, industrial law, business law.
- →Directs, supervises, coordinates, and reviews the work of subordinate attorneys and support staff.
- →Plans and assigns work, establishes priorities, provides professional and technical guidance and reviews work for adequacy and compliance to established procedures.
- →Establishes performance standards and evaluates employees’ performance.
