About the Role

This Supply Technician (Medical EX) position is in Supply Chain Management services at the Maine Healthcare Systems, located at the Togus, Maine location.

What You'll Do

  • →This position serves as Supply Technician (Medical) for the Medical Supply Distribution (MSD) areas of Logistics Service within the VA Health Care System.
  • →As a Supply Technician, you will provide wards, clinics, operating rooms, secondary storage locations, and other hospital facilities with supplies and material including, but not limited to, sterile and non-sterile medical supplies, instrument sets and equipment.
  • →Major duties and responsibilities include: Pulls stock inventory and material for delivery; replenishes stock inventory; interacts with clinical and administrative customers and maintains records on stock levels; Communicates to the Lead or Supervisor any concerns related to supplies, equipment and procedures.
  • →Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • →Telework: Not Authorized Virtual: This is not a virtual position.

  • →Interchange Agreements with Other Merit System: Employees who occupy medical or medical-related positions and were appointed under 38 U.S.C. 4701(1) or (3) [formerly 38 U.S.C. 4104 (1) and (3)] must be serving in a full-time position without time limit and have served continuously for at least one year in this other merit system to be eligible to convert to the Title 5 System.
