This vacancy is for a GS-2005-7, Supply Technician located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, BASE NEW ORLEANS in NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as a Supply Technician and be responsible for performing and/or arranging divisional supply control and support at both the Industrial facility and for the TAD industrial repair teams.
- →Additionally, this position will maintain an inventory of Aids to Navigation (ATON) stock to support cutters and distribute as directed.
- →Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
- →Typical work assignments include: Initiating, preparing, editing, and processing requisitions to stock..
- →Conducting regular, physical inventories of material stocked.
- →Operating computer terminals for record-keeping, data input and corrections, and shipping coordination.
- →Overseeing stock maintenance, conducting physical inventories, receiving and screening documents/lists for receipt verification; initiating, preparing, editing and processing requisitions to stock; searching catalogs Performing all facets of inventory control.
