What You'll Do
- →Support the non-nuclear material and service requirements related to the NAVSEA Puget Sound Naval Shipyard maintenance availabilities both on and off yard.
- →Perform and provide the results of in-depth research and analysis of supply orders’ validity and compliance with regulations.
- →Perform supply transactions such as data entry, report generation and retrieval, and in-depth research.
- →Perform exhaustive research that includes, but is not limited to, identification of alternate available items, vendors, sources of supply, methods of procurement, or causative analysis of major discrepancies.
- →Initiate, prepare, edit, and process numerous standard requisitions to stock or non-standard requisitions through numerous means of procurement to include Military Standard Requisitioning and Issue Procedures, and government purchase card.
- →Research local and federal regulations to ensure strict compliance in the procurement of hazardous materials.
- →Contact customers, supply organizations, transportation units, and others regarding price changes, special handling, to obtain material status information, follow-up on urgently required items, and/or expedite delivery of material to work sites.
Requirements
- ✓Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
