About the Position: This position is with the Defense Commissary Agency, Vilseck Commissary located in Vilseck, Germany. The incumbent serves as the first line supervisor and manager of the Front-End Department of a Commissary store, responsible for all aspects of planning, scheduling, coordinating and controlling front end activities and personnel, and controlling all funds received and deposited daily as part of the front-end department operations.
What You'll Do
- →Direct and control the operations and personnel of the commissary front end customer service department.
- →Monitor and supervise all register transactions.
- →Modify schedules based on personnel capabilities, planned and emergency leave schedules, and position vacancies.
- →Evaluate work performance of subordinates.
- →Identify training needs and work to ensure the needs are met.
- →Respond to customer questions and issues with tact and diplomacy.
- →Complete, review and file a variety of forms and reports which account for daily operations which serve as control records for the receipt and deposit of all transactions - electronic or cash.
- →Conduct periodic inspections of front end area and operations to ensure compliance with local safety, fire, security, and sanitation regulations and procedures.
