What You'll Do
- →Summary: The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as the installation's Family Advocacy Officer (FAO) directly supervising a staff consisting of social worker(s) and may also include a registered nurse and support personnel.
- →Integrates and organizes the Family Advocacy Program (FAP).
- →Exercises responsibility for program effectiveness and promotes acceptance of the social work function.
- →Functions as a clinical social worker responding to complex and frequently shifting program priorities.
- →Responsible for community development and programming on an independent basis and in coordination with other base and community agencies.
- →Duties: Carries out program management responsibility for the installation Family Advocacy Program (FAP), ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and meeting customer needs.
- →Represents FAP to (or on behalf of) the installation, group, squadron leadership through multiple installation and functional area organizations.
- →Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- →Carries full professional responsibility for assigned cases presenting a wide range of psychosocial and environmental problems from prevention, intervention, and treatment through case closure and/or transfer.
- →Works to achieve and support quality improvement in all products and services.
