About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

- →Establish and communicate performance expectations, conduct appraisals, and develop/measure process improvement plans/protocols.
- →Recommend personnel actions, handle disciplinary measures, and review leave requests.
- →Resolve employee complaints and ensure compliance with equal employment opportunity (EEO) policies.
- →Clinical Oversight: Provide consultative oversight to the Consult Coordination staff serving Veterans with complex mental health, medical, and co-morbid conditions.
- →Ensure the delivery of individualized, recovery-oriented care for Veterans, including those at elevated risk for suicidal thoughts or behavior.
- →Program Management: Oversee daily operations of the program, the development and management of patient flow and consults of new and established patients as well as Veterans eligible for community care.
- →Provide in-service training to all providers regarding Compact Act & consult management in Mental Health Service.
- →Manage and analyze data related to day-to-day program functioning & evaluation including obtaining stakeholder feedback while working with other services including Office of Community Care (OCC) and Health Administration Service (HAS).
- →Plan, organize, and direct administrative operations and patient and personnel activities.
- →Ensure compliance with VHA Handbooks, local policies, and SOPs, and TJC accreditation requirements.
- →Program Coordination: The Supervisory Social Worker organizes and directs the clinical and administrative functions of the team, including strategic planning to ensure high-quality service provision.
- →Responsibilities include developing short- and long-term goals aligned with the program's strategic plan, administering a multidisciplinary team, and monitoring workload and care quality.
- →Clinical/Direct Care Responsibilities: Provides psychosocial assessment and intervention, case management, and risk assessment and intervention services for Veterans.
