About the Role
This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Division of Health Plan Innovation, Seamless Care Models Group. As a Supervisory Social Science Research Analyst, GS-0101-14, you will direct, design and implement intramural and extramural research and demonstrations for alternative health care delivery systems with appropriate payment methods to achieve value-based purchasing.
What You'll Do
- →Serving as the Deputy and "alter ego" to the Director, fully participating in managing all aspects of the organization.
- →Coordinating the resources required to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective accomplishments of the Division’s functional responsibilities.
- →Serving as a technical expert/resource to leadership, as well as other internal/external stakeholders, on issues related to the design, implementation, and operations for tests of innovative payment, benefit and delivery models in Medicare Part C.
- →Managing technically complex projects and initiatives and managing the development and implementation of project plans.
- →Managing staff-level work associated with managing the design and development, implementation, operation, and monitoring of models related to health plan innovation programs.
Requirements
- ✓Education Requirement: In addition to meeting the qualification requirements, all candidates must have the following educational requirements: Possess a degree in behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
- ✓OR Possess a combination of education and experience that provides you with the knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
- ✓OR Possess four years of appropriate experience that demonstrates acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
