About the Role
You will serve as the Quality Assurance Director in the Quality Assurance Department of FORWARD SHIP SUSTAINMENT NAPLES.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as a point of contact for customers, ship’s force, and other Forward Deployed Regional Maintenance Center (FDRMC) personnel concerning all quality assurance matters related to surface ship maintenance.
- →You will direct and manage allotted budgets for travel, training, recertification, supplies, material, equipment and personnel for the FDRMC Quality Assurance office.
- →You will provide direction, conduct effectiveness evaluations of program capabilities, and reassign departmental efforts.
- →You will evaluate new developments in technology or regulatory matters for application in the Quality Assurance Program.
- →You will develop specialized policy and procedural guidelines for the implementation of the Quality Assurance Program.
- →You will execute technical repairs and maintenance onboard U.S.
- →Naval vessels, in lieu of a contract, and/or when a contractor is not practical.
Requirements
- ✓No basic education requirements.
- ✓ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Must be able to satisfactorily complete the Commander Navy Regional Maintenance Center workforce development training.

- ✓The NATO Status of Forces Agreement prohibits employment in the U.S.
- ✓Civilian Component in a host nation of any person who holds dual citizenship of the U.S. and the host nation.
- ✓For example: A person who holds both Italian and U.S. citizenship may not be employed in the U.S.
- ✓Civilian Component in Italy; however, that person is not prohibited by the NATO Status of Forces Agreement from employment in the U.S. civilian Component in another NATO host nation of which (s)he does not hold citizenship.
- ✓ICTAP Applicants: To be considered well-qualified and exercise selection priority as an ICTAP candidate, displaced Federal employees must satisfy all qualification requirements for the position and receive a rating in the highly qualified category (score 85) or higher.
- ✓ICTAP candidates must provide copies of all of the following documentation at the time of application: 1) agency notice; 2) most recent performance appraisal; and 3) most recent SF-50 or notification of personnel action that includes position, grade level, and duty location.
- ✓Applicants who do not provide this documentation will not receive consideration as an ICTAP candidate.
