About the Role
About the Position: Serves as the Public Affairs Officer for the Japan Engineer District (JED), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Must be able to satisfy the requirements of the 26JUL12 DODI 1400.25 V1230, DoD Civilian Personnel Management System: Employment in Foreign Areas and Employee Return Rights. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as the primary spokesperson for the District, directing the media relations program to include developing strategies for handling sensitive, complex or controversial issues.
- →Develops, executes, and evaluates the District’s strategic command and public information programs to inform internal audiences and promote command initiatives.
- →Supervises a staff of Dept of Army civilians and local national employees.
- →Directs the creation and management of all multi-media and digital content, including photography, videography, and web content, to support communication objectives.
- →Serves as the point of contact for the District’s history program.
