Supervisory Program Specialist position serves as the Administrator for the Clinical Operations and reports to the Associate Chief of Staff for Medical Specialty. Has oversite of staff and is recognized as non-clinical expert in the field of Medical Specialty Care and Surgical Center Operations. Is a key resource in delivery of medical and surgical programs to Veterans. Project officer responsible for evaluation of the effectiveness and efficiency of major program operations throughout the VHA
What You'll Do
- →Include but not limited to: Advise on productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency of clinical program operations.
- →Analyze and interprets local and national trends or patterns to understand patient expectations using patient satisfaction metrics.
- →Collaborates with leadership to develop short and long term strategic plans for service.
- →Creating project processes to enhance patient access, streamline referrals and optimize resources used to improve efficiency in outpatient and inpatient care.
- →Collaborates with multiple service lines and subject matter experts at the system, regional and national level to advance the patient experience.
- →Developing and maintaining qualify management programs to ensure services and technical guidance meet procedural, legal, and accreditation standards for patient care.
- →Performs a full range of personnel management and administration as the acting liaison with Human Resources management services.
- →Interpret policies and regulations to include governing allocation and distribution of personnel, supplies, equipment and other resources.
- →Serves as active member on medical center committees, work groups and teams as assigned by executive leadership or service chief.
- →Creates action plans and new policies or guidelines.
- →Please note: A one year supervisory probation period may be required for this position.

Requirements
