About the Role

The primary purpose of this position is to supervise administrative staff in Sacramento and Martinez and perform administrative and personnel management functions relative to staff supervised. Establishes guidelines and performance expectations or staff, which are clearly communicated through the formal employee performance management system and hold staff accountable for timely delivery of assigned duties that improves customer outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Major duties include but will not be limited to: The Supervisory Program Analyst assists with data collection, aggregation, trending, and analysis on identified issues and problems.
  • He/she will advise, consult, and train managers and staff on a wide variety of issues including, but not limited to a data collection, trending of data, and use of various statistical tools, interpretation, and presentation of data.
  • The incumbent responds to clinical staff questions and problems in a timely manner utilizing self-direction in the application of decision-making and or problem-solving skills.
  • The incumbent plays a critical role in assisting with effort to meet or exceed performance expectations related to staffing, access, patient flow, and efficient processes throughout Surgical Service, VANCHCS.
  • Participates in development of detailed systems to improve the function of surgical care with an emphasis on program development and giving specific attention to all aspects of programmatic implementation with V ANCHCS.
  • The incumbent maintains the appointments, calendars, and schedules for the surgical service chief and/or assistant chief, and coordinates and/or reschedules meetings, conferences, and online or onsite meeting rooms.
  • The incumbent serves as committee and meeting recorder as assigned.
  • The incumbent will notify all meeting participants of pertinent meeting information or action items.
  • Informs the service chief and other staff of pending appointments, suspense items and other time commitments.
  • Incumbent is responsible for maintaining and updating Labor Mapping report under the guidance of the Surgical Service Practice Manager which is an integral part of determining productivity.
  • The report will show the year-to­date productivity data by provider and the clinical specialties.
  • Incumbent performs all aspects of timekeeping for Surgical Service.
  • Enters employee work tours, accurately and timely posts tours of duty, annual leave, sick leave, authorized absence, etc. in VISTA Timekeepers Menu.
  • Tracks and posts Fee-Basis employee timecards manually calculating hours worked by rate of pay.
