About the Position: Serves as a senior Program Analyst in the Far East District (FED) and Chief, Program AnalystSection, Programs and Project Management Division (PPMD) responsible for reviewing, analyzingand evaluating program and project trends and accomplishments and evaluating the effectiveness of current and projected programs. Incentives MAY BE paid if the selecting official determines it is in the best interests of the government.
What You'll Do
- →Responsible for a variety of special studies, reports, and schedules related to financial management, program cost analysis, in accordance with annual/multi-year/long range fiscal planning.
- →Development of annual work plans for organizations whose operations are interrelated and sometimes unstable.
- →Provides advice and guidance to management and Program and Project Managers and supervisory direction to subordinate Program Analysts in the interpretation and application of procedural guides and directives.
- →Develops and prepares the PPMD's initial, mid-year and two out-year operating budgets and assists with the development of operating budgets for other technical offices within the District.
- →Researches and analyzes potential improvements to District and Project Management Information Systems (PROMIS), processes, and data to evaluate for increased program effectiveness.
- →Assigns work to employees based on a number of considerations (e.g., employee responsibility, competence, workloads, resources available, etc.), ensuring subordinates are treated fairly and equitably and all receive any on-the-job training needed.
