About the Role

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM ANALYST in the Amphibious Warfare Program Office (PMS 377) of DPAE EXPEDITIONARY AND MINE WARFARE.

What You'll Do

  • You will serve as the Acquisition Assistant Program Manager (APM), supporting the Acquisition Principal Assistant Program Manager (PAPM) on day-to-day integration and execution for the Amphibious (LPD/LHA) shipbuilding portfolio.
  • You will support acquisition and contract execution strategy, contract planning, change management, and performance to support cost control, mitigate risks, and avoid program disruptions and deliver technically sound ships and products.
  • You will develop and coordinate all program documentation to support Milestone review process.
  • You will utilize schedules and evaluate actual/projected progress to direct/redirect resources for the project to proceed in an orderly, cost effective, and timely manner.
  • You will direct acquisition studies and coordinate the development of cost estimates and analyses during all phases of ship acquisition.
  • You will develop and coordinate all Congressional briefs, reports to Congress, and responses to and decisions related to the projects.
  • You will provide information and expert advice to respond to Congressional, DOD, other Government agency, and media or industry inquiries, and audits to support Congressional testimony.
  • You will provide interface with Business/Financial Management staff to prepare plans and schedules, define actions, and take actions and direct resources required to ensure that projects proceed in an orderly, cost effective, and timely manner.
  • You will apply innovative approaches to resolve complex acquisition problems involving shipbuilding and ship systems design, integration and production concepts, contract, budgeting, funding constraints, progress, invoicing, and payment methods.
  • You will review, prepare, and present responses to all source shipbuilding program audits conducted by the Navy and other agencies.
  • You will monitor contractual and legal problems during acquisition, design and construction of ships and associated material and services.
  • You will review and coordinate modifications to requirements including specifications, statements of work, and other contract and acquisition documentation for follow-on procurements of ships and services contracts.
  • You will perform supervisory duties to include providing administrative and technical guidance, employee performance evaluations, identifying training needs, and workload management.
