About the Role

The incumbent of this position supervises a staff of program support employees within the immediate office of the Asset Management Branch (AMB). The AMB Chief will be responsible for managing a staff of professional employees in the planning, research and development of policies, procedures and programs that relate directly to the support of the lifecycle of an asset.

What You'll Do

  • The major duties of the Supervisory Program Analyst position include, but are not limited to, the following: Exercises full supervisory authority over Program Analysts, Contractors, and other administrative and technical support personnel assigned within the immediate office of the Asset Management Branch.
  • Assigns work, reviews it for technical accuracy and adherence to the law and appropriate regulations, and evaluates employee performance.
  • Develops and implements policies, procedures and programs that relate to the support of the life cycle of an asset.
  • Prepares budgetary requirements and justifications for the activities and programs of the Branch and manages centrally controlled contracts budgetary items for which the Branch is responsible.

  • Citizen or National Selective Service registration is required for males born on, or after, December 31st 1959.
  • Those not registered should have an approved exemption on file.
  • May be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
  • You must be a current permanent Department of Justice, ATF employee with competitive status or a CTAP/RPL eligible candidate.
  • Suitable for Federal employment determined by background investigation.
  • You must meet all applicable time-in-grade requirements by the closing of this announcement.

  • MOBILITY PLAN: New employees hired pursuant to this vacancy announcement must sign a mobility agreement.

  • To accomplish these objectives, the mobility plan will facilitate the movement of employees through special short-term assignments or permanent reassignments throughout the Bureau.
