This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Intelligence & Analysis (I&A). The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the liaison between the I&A components and the DHS Office of Procurement Operations (OPO) and the DHS Office of Selective Acquisitions (OSA) for developing, coordinating, facilitating, tracking and managing contract requirements. Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.
What You'll Do
- →As a Supervisory Program Analyst (Acquisitions Team Lead), GS-0343-14, your typical work assignments may include: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- →Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
- →Selects or recommends selection of candidates for vacancies, promotions, details, and reassignment in consideration of skills, qualifications, and mission requirements.
- →Develops, modifies, and/or interprets performance standards.
- →Lead the team that supports the Divisional Point of Contact (POC)/Contracting Office Representative (CORs) with the coordination and Facilitation of all aspects of procurement requirements management and contract management with the OPO and OSA.
- →Responsible for meeting with CORs to discuss and address contracting and performance issues.
- →Plans, organizes, and directs the Acquisitions related activities of the work unit, ensuring that all functional work areas comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
- →Develop goals and objectives integrating organization and Acquisitions and Contract Management objectives.
- →Supports I&A and Divisional POC/COR with acquisitions planning, execution, contract monitoring and coordination.
- →Serves as the subject-matter expert & personal advisor to I&A with accurate interpretation of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) policies and principles.
- →Works directly with subject matter experts in Office of Procurement Operations (OPO) and the Office of Selective Acquisitions (OSA) preparing & documenting activities for major milestones.
- →Maintains a continuous liaison with I&A and DHS organizations and subordinate offices/organizations.
