This position is located in the Physical Security Programs Branch, Security and Emergency Programs Division, Office of Professional Responsibility and Security Operations, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Security and Emergency Programs Division is responsible for all physical security programs for the entire Bureau. The incumbent serves as a Branch Chief under the supervision of the Chief, Security and Emergency Programs Division.
What You'll Do
- →The major duties of the Supervisory Physical Security Specialist position include, but are not limited to, the following: Conducts continuing evaluation of physical security programs, systems and practices, including Identification Media and Awards services throughout the Bureau through surveys, studies, analysis and monitoring of controls and reports.
- →Develops recommendations to correct identified problems and procedures for implementation of recommended corrective actions.
- →Promotes security awareness throughout the Bureau and advises senior officials on significant physical security issues at Bureau Headquarters or field offices.
- →Manages the physical security programs of the Bureau on a nationwide basis and coordinates operations with other Federal or local law enforcement agencies as required.

- ✓Citizen or National Selective Service registration is required for males born on, or after, December 31st 1959.
- ✓Those not registered should have an approved exemption on file.

- ✓Suitable for Federal employment determined by background investigation.
