About the Role

Joining the Secret Service, Office of Field Operations, Criminal Investigative Division will allow you to direct the provision of a full range of counterfeit currency forensic services to the organization and its components. For definitions of terms found in this announcement, please click here.

What You'll Do

  • →The selectee will serve as a Supervisory Physical Scientist in the Office of Field Operations, Criminal Investigative Division.
  • →Typical work assignments include: Servicing as an advisor to stakeholders on the conceptualization, development, and presentation of anticounterfeiting policy, forensic and statistical analysis related to counterfeiting.
  • →Advising stakeholders on various forensic and physical science issues.
  • →Developing scientific standard operations procedures for forensic analysis, counterfeit detection, authentication, or security feature assessment.
  • →Leading or supervising counterfeit projects, or a team of counterfeit specialists.

Requirements

  • ✓Citizenship is required.
  • ✓Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • ✓If selected for this position, you will be required to: Obtain and maintain a Top Secret Tier 5 clearance.
