About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Recruitment Incentive may be authorized. Relocation Incentive may be authorized. Student Loan Repayment may be authorized. Advanced Leave Accrual may be authorized. Advanced In-hire may be authorized.
What You'll Do
- →Directly supervise professional and technical personnel in the inpatient pharmacy under their purview and their day-to-day clinical operations.
- →Plan, direct, and coordinate inpatient dispensing services.
- →Develop and maintains position descriptions and performance standards for subordinate pharmacy personnel.
- →Ensure that pharmacy services are aligned with established best practices and responsible for the overall quality of pharmacy programs.
- →Serve as the pharmacy liaison with physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other staff.
- →Define and establish adequate in-process checks and quality assurance measures for the proper surveillance of the dispensing of medications.
