What You'll Do
- →Adheres to established policies and guidance when overseeing and providing performance education coordination and prepares specific content for primary prevention-based resources, programs, and efforts related to sleep science, optimizing recovery and adaptation, and general health and wellness education.
- →Collaborates and works in alignment with all prevention, WARR, and other programs across the installation.
- →Plans, supervises, implements, and administers a health education, recovery and reconditioning with a focus on sleep, tobacco-free living, drug and alcohol use, healthy eating, active living, healthy personal relationships, reproductive and sexual health, and mental and emotional well-being.
- →Ensures the implementation of and teaches a standardized health education curriculum that covers behavior changes in areas such as sleep, health, wellness, performance, nutrition, recovery, and other components of health education from the standpoint of resource allocation, unanticipated developments, and program efficiency.
- →Develops specialized programs and is responsible for developing and executing a Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) budget and provide requirements for an annual Appropriated Fund (APF) budget to include the expenditures required to conduct a Performance Education program.
- →Provides guidance and instruction to subordinates and resolves minor grievances.
- →Oversees and conducts performance testing, maximal oxygen uptake (VO2 max), body fat analysis, resting metabolic rate (RMR), and other measures of performance testing using various technological resources.
- →Ensures and maximizes the use of interactive training methods providing performance education through social media applications such as Instagram, Facebook, X, and other Marine Corps approved outlets.
- →Reviews, approves, develops and designs promotional and campaign materials for the installation and target populations as needed.
- →Establishes and collects performance-based metrics and is responsible for reporting data in support of measures of performance and measures of effectiveness to the installation WARR/Semper Fit Director, Headquarters WARR/Semper Fit the Marine Corps, and the Department of Defense.
