About the Role
Part of the National Archives and Records Administration, serving as the Supervisory Museum Curator of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum. Responsible for planning, supervising, and executing the programs and activities of the museum and collections. Through exhibits, educational programs, media and other museums, the museum presents historical information on the President's administration/early political career and the nation's political and governmental institutions.
What You'll Do
- →As a Supervisory Museum Curator, you will: Oversee the planning, formulation, design, construction, and installation of exhibits.
- →Evaluate museum objects offered as gifts to the Library and recommend acceptance or rejection of the gifts by the Director.
- →Supervise managerial and administrative activities of the museum including budget, personnel, space management, procurement, and security.
- →Sets technical policies for the museum's operation.
- →Be responsible for the physical care, maintenance, preservation, and security of the museum areas and collections.
- →Provide information about museum objects and programs to many sources including but not limited to the President's family, the Foundation, the White House, professional museums, the media, and the general public.
Requirements

- ✓Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.

- ✓Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form i-9.

- ✓Work is primarily sedentary.
- ✓Occasional walking, reaching, and bending may be necessary, as well as lifting and carrying heavy materials during regular inventory processes and in the construction and installation of exhibits.
