Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Portland Field Office, located in Denver, Colorado. What You'll Do
- →This position will allow you to use your expertise in administration to provide advisory and technical services to Customs and Border Protection management.
- →Apply for this exciting opportunity to strengthen the Department's ability to protect the homeland by analyzing and refining existing work methods and developing new methods and procedures.
- →This position starts at a salary of $99,800.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $129,742.00 (GS-12, Step 10).
- →In this Supervisory Mission Support Specialist position, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security professionals providing advisory and technical services to management.
- →Typical work assignments include: Developing and prescribing procedures and techniques and furnishing policy guidance to subordinates, assigning and explaining work requirements to subordinate staff to achieve efficiency of services rendered while increasing productivity.
- →Adjusting work operations to meet priorities or changing programs or production requirements within available resources with minimum sacrifice of quantity and quality of work.
- →Resolving complaints and grievances not requiring referral to higher authority and making recommendations for solution of those referred to the next higher organizational level.
- →Directing on the job training for employees.
