Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Boston Field Office, located in the following locations: Area Port of Portland, Maine Area Port of Saint Albans, Vermont .
What You'll Do
- →Joining the Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations will allow you to use your expertise in administration to provide advisory and technical services to management.
- →Apply for this exciting opportunity to strengthen the Department's ability to protect the homeland by analyzing and refining existing work methods and developing new methods and procedures.
- →This position starts at a salary of $106,437.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $138,370.00 (GS-13, Step 10).
- →In this Supervisory Mission Support Specialist position, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security professionals analyzing and refining existing work methods and developing new methods and procedures.
- →Typical work assignments include: From PD FO171AServes as a supervisor to a group of administrative employees who are responsible for assessing the productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency of program operations or who analyze and resolve problems in the effectiveness and efficiency of administrative support and staff activities.
- →Assigns and explains work requirements to subordinate staff to achieve efficiency of services rendered while increasing productivity.
- →Adjusts work operations to meet priorities or changing programs or production requirements within available resources and with minimum sacrifice of quantity and quality of work.
- →Ensures equity in determining qualifications, selections, assignments, training, promotions, details, discipline, and awards to employees.
- →Stimulates, motivates and instills a sense of participation among employees to achieve goals.
Requirements
