Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Tucson Sector, Mission Readiness Operations, located in Tucson, AZ.
What You'll Do
- →In this Supervisor Mission Support Specialist role, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security individuals involved in supervising administrative positions who provide services in direct support of operations programs.
- →This position starts at a salary of $108,455.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $140,994.00 (GS-13, Step 10).
- →As a Supervisory Mission Support Specialist, you will oversee the analyzing and resolving of problems to improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of administrative support and staff activities.
- →Typical work assignments will include: Supervising the Workforce Management branch providing senior level advice regarding workforce manage programs and operations; providing leadership, direction, and supervision over management decisions to a team that coordinates and performs administrative and management services.
- →Developing and modifying workforce management methods, approaches, and procedures for delivering effective services; developing and delivering briefings, project papers, statuses, and staff reports to foster understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations.
- →Generating and maintaining various reports, providing updated staffing information, and managing tickler reports and staffing tables; coordinating with supervisors and staff to ensure receipt of documents and actions are completed in a timely manner.
- →Serving as a liaison with Labor and Employee Relations, conveying guidance and requirements to management, and advising supervisors of the benefits of any provided courses of action; providing support with performance appraisals, awards programs, monitoring overtime, and other related workforce management systems.
