About the Role
This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Tobacco Products, Office of Science, Division of Product Science which is located in Silver Spring, Maryland.
What You'll Do
- →Formulate and apply new concepts, theories and methods for resolving critical and novel problems.
- →Provide scientific lead on special projects that are inherently the most complex in regards to regulations, laws and science and are high priority for the division.
- →Supervise a group of employees, including scientific experts and program analyst(s), performing work at the GS-13 level and above.
- →Serve as a Technical Project Lead that performs summary reviews of Substantial Equivalence Reports (SE Reports) when requested by the Director.
- →Provide authoritative and professional expertise in dealing with consultative services to other Center for Tobacco Product Programs, FDA, Centers, and other Government agencies.
- →Maintain expert knowledge and keep abreast of new findings in the microbiology specialization including clinical study scientific literature.

- ✓Note: Some positions require the completion of specific courses or a specified number of credit hours.
- ✓Therefore, the foreign credential evaluation should provide information similar to that of an official transcript, to include a list of the courses taken, quarter and/or semester hours awarded, the cumulative grade point average (GPA), honors received, if any, date degree awarded.
