The Battle Creek VA Medical Center is seeking a Supervisory Medical Administration Specialist to serve within the Health Administration Service. This role is responsible for overseeing administrative operations, ensuring effective coordination of medical support services, and providing leadership to administrative staff to support quality patient care.
What You'll Do
- →Performs a variety of duties in support of the Medical Center mission.
- →Establishes and maintains communication with personnel at all levels throughout the Medical Center, Wyoming HCC, and CBOCs including Executive Leadership, Service Chiefs, as well as VISN and Headquarters staff, staff from other VA Medical Centers, Veterans, representatives from other governmental agencies, and the public.
- →These duties include analysis of data and workload, preparation of reports, technical writing and correspondence, and research.
- →Coordinates the implementation of new scheduling, eligibility and beneficiary travel programs.
- →Participates at the national and regional level to prepare all facilities for transition to new programs.
- →Develops methodology for training staff and verifying competencies.
- →Coordinates new and refresher training program for all schedulers throughout the five medical facilities to meet national standards and requirements.
