About the Role

This position serves as a Supervisory Medical Administration Specialist for Business Office Outpatient, Mental Health, Specialty and/or Primary Care services at the CBOCs and directly reports to the Assistant Chief of the Business Office. This position is responsible for providing a high level of administrative support to the Business Office, upper management, and clinical services.

What You'll Do

  • Duties will include but are not limited to: Plans the work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjust short term priorities, and prepare schedules for the completion of work.
  • Keeps the healthcare groups informed and up to date concerning appropriate administrative regulations.
  • Conducts individual quality assurance/process improvement checks/studies.
  • Analyzes situations to determine if decisions can be made independently, or if the advice of a higher authority is needed concerning special problems which may involve public relations.
  • Provides for the development of monitors in measuring data input.
  • Establishes and coordinates in-depth trainings/training materials with the Management Analysts to ensure Business Office personnel and other identified Medical Center staff members are educated and held accountable for data management.
  • Conducts special studies designed to identify opportunities to improve customer service and process quality.
  • Assists in ensuring clinical access to care period monitors work processes to prevent ineffective work practices and to verify adherence to the plans and requirements of the work unit.
  • Develops and manages databases necessary for tracking Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) training/participation and makes recommendations concerning funding and policy issues based upon the information collected.
