About the Role

The incumbent will serve as the enterprise lead over the organization's Quality Management, Performance Improvement, and Analytics and Informatics (A&I) programs. The Director oversees strategies and operations that elevate quality of care and service delivery across national call centers and business lines; integrates continuous quality improvement (CQI) into daily operations and culture; drives enterprise-wide redesign for quality; and ensures alignment.

What You'll Do

  • Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: Develops and implements polices, procedures, and governance structures that promote continuous quality improvement (CQI) and high reliability across multiple sites and service lines.
  • Manages internal reviews and systems redesign efforts, approving or disapproving proposals from organizational elements and providing final review of assigned programs.
  • Ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and readiness for external reviews.
  • Conducts organizational assessments using models such as the Malcom Baldrige criteria and directs special studies and analyses of complex issues.
  • Approves personnel actions, makes key selections, addresses grievances, and ensures compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity principles in all staffing and personnel activities.
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Telework: This position may be authorized for telework.
  • Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.
  • Virtual: This position may be authorized for Virtual Work.
  • Virtual Work eligibility is for current VA employees that are already subject to the return to the in-person work mandate in their current position.
  • Definition of Virtual Work: Employee works outside of original hiring duty station at a VA-owned or leased space.
  • Return to Office (RTO): RTO mandates are in effect and selectees will be required to report to in-person work unless they are approved for an exception or an exemption.
  • Any approval for an RTO exception, exemption, or extension will happen after a tentative job offer, but before a final job offer.

Requirements
