This position is in Veterans Benefits Administration, in Education Service (EDU). EDU has department-wide responsibility administering VA's education programs that provide education and training benefits to eligible Active Duty, National Guard, and Reserve Servicemembers, Veterans, and dependents.
What You'll Do
- →This incumbent serves as the Supervisor of the Agreements and Federal Programs team and is responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, collaborating, and overall administration of assigned programs within an assigned portfolio in support of EDU's mission.
- →Specific duties include: Leads and manages assigned portfolio programs within the Program Oversight and Accountability Division.
- →Provides strategic planning and oversight to ensure compliance with education and training program requirements.
- →Resolves sensitive and complex issues independently and provides recommendations to leadership.
- →Coordinates program goals and initiatives with federal, state, private sector, and nonprofit stakeholders.
- →Serves as a organizer, facilitator and/or liaison for meetings, conferences, and internal and external communications.
- →Researches, analyzes, and evaluates policies, regulations, and institutional data to identify trends and improve program effectiveness.
- →Develops reports, briefings, and recommendations to support program oversight and decision-making.
- →Implements process improvements, monitors program performance, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
- →Leverages Microsoft 365 products and other technology tools to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
- →Supervises GS-11 through GS-13 employees, assigning work, setting priorities, and monitoring performance.
- →Establishes performance standards, coaches and develops employees, and addresses performance and training needs.
- →Oversees recruitment, employee relations, labor relations, and disciplinary actions while promoting EEO, safety, and organizational policies.
- →Promotion Potential: No Promotion Potential Work Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday 8am- 4:30pm Compressed/Flexible: Not Available Telework: This position is eligible for situational (ad hoc) telework only.
