This position is in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA)Education Service. The Service has department-wide responsibility for activities relating to administering VA educational assistance programs to Veterans, Service-members, National Guard and Reserve members, and eligible dependents for their military service to the Nation.
What You'll Do
- →Specific duties include: Serves as the Supervisory Management Analyst for the National Quality - Processing team within Education Service.
- →In that capacity, responsible for leadership, direction and coordination of the Service's quality programs and materials.
- →Incumbent is also responsible for the program analysis and quality control of the programs, and for providing advice, guidance and operational support to the Assistant Director for Operations Integrity.
- →The incumbent is also responsible for planning and managing the resources and work associated with quality assurance Designs and oversees quality programs.
- →Responsible for conducting a comprehensive program of appraisal and evaluation of all Service program activities in the regional processing offices.
- →Conducts quality assurance reviews of all programs administered by the field as well as on a national basis.
- →Reviews field quality programs and recommends improvements as necessary.
- →As assigned, plans and directs program area reviews and studies, ranging in complexity from specific operational functions and problems to program wide applications.
- →Once assigned to complete a project, the incumbent has the responsibility to independently carry out and/or coordinate the work necessary to complete the project assignment.
- →Incumbent is responsible for providing oversight and direction to the National Quality - Processing team personnel.
- →Leads the development and implementation of quality activities for the Service.
- →Supervises a staff of employees to accomplish the work of the organizational unit.
- →Promotion Potential: Position is at the full performance level.
- →Work Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday Compressed/Flexible: Available Telework: This position is eligible for situational (ad hoc) telework only.
